Seahawks’ Defense Sets Longest Active Streak Without Allowing 100-Yard Rusher

The Seahawks are proving that their dominance on the ground isn’t slowing down. As of Week 14 of the 2025 season, Seattle’s defense has not allowed a single opposing running back to reach 100 rushing yards in 23 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL. The streak began on December 14, 2025 (Week 15), when James Cook of the Bills managed to break the century mark. Since then, no running back has surpassed the 100-yard mark against Seattle.

The record was set this past matchup against Jonathan Taylor, the NFL’s leading rusher. Taylor was held to just 72 yards on 18 carries, unable to break the century mark, as Seattle’s defensive front dominated the line of scrimmage and neutralized the Colts’ running game.

Over the course of the streak, opponents have averaged just 58.4 rushing yards per game, while Seattle’s defense has forced 12 fumbles and contributed 6 rushing touchdowns of their own. Seattle’s front seven, led by a mix of veteran stars and emerging talent, has been the cornerstone of this historic run. The team’s ability to shut down the run while maintaining a strong pass rush has kept opposing offenses off balance and allowed the Seahawks to stay competitive in every matchup.

With the regular season still ongoing, Seattle looks poised to extend this record-setting streak, continuing to cement their reputation as one of the league’s elite defensive units.
